03:00 pm - Ch-ch-changes Having been in school for the first 23 years of my life, this time of year has always been nostalgic for me. It's always an end/beginning point, and I always find myself thinking back to what I was doing a year ago, two years ago, etc.
I thought that, being out of school, I would stop living so seasonally, but it looks like this summer is going to be a transitional one as well.
And I'm looking forward to it.

I'm very dramatic when things come to an end. After work yesterday, I absorbed everything. This is the last time we'll walk out to the car. This is the last time we'll make this awful commute. I looked back at the office when I left, the conference room where I interviewed, the view from the receptionist desk. Blah blah blah...
Things are kind of surreal right now, even though it's a Saturday. I suppose it'll really be strange to sleep late Monday morning. Strange but good.
11:35 pm - New Blog and such I'm about ready to send off my first illustration self promo. I've got almost 100 publications on my mailing list. It may get over that by the time a mail it out. I keep stumbling across more.

I think I'll be getting a WordPress blog soon. I'd like to be able to link to a blog from my website, but I'd like for it to not be a blog that dates all the way back to bad high school poetry. Also, I feel like livejournal is really more tailored for other LJ users rather than general blog readers. I think the appeal of LJ is the interaction/community with other users, but not so much its influence in the "Blogosphere."
Not that I plan on having some big, important work of internet journalism.
The new blog would be kinda like my LJ, except without the friends-only stuff, and with more of an emphasis on design and illustration. Also, fun internet things I happen to find. Basically, my livejournal, just spruced up.
Just thinking...

God, every morning I wake up and tell myself I won't stay up late tonight. Oops.
09:04 pm - Sukie I'm getting her tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed tomorrow. Big day for Sukie. I feel bad, though, because she's just now getting comfortable, starting to roam around the apartment and such. Oh, well. I guess a vet appointment won't cause permanent psychological damage.

We get out of work at noon tomorrow for Battle of the Flowers. It's all part of Fiesta. Sometimes San Antonio can be alright.
• Learned the hard way not to drink whiskey with beer. Or at least not on an empty stomach. • Overcome a hellacious hangover to finish the book I was reading and start a new one. • Gone on probably one of the best first dates I've ever been on, partly because it involved bowling with blacklights and fog machines. • Finally ordered custom postcards off of Zazzle to send to a few people. • Ridden my bike all over San Marcos and made Sunday last as long as possible.

I effing LOVED this show as a kid:
–Clutter Current Music: Sweet Dreams–Señor Coconut (awesome Eurythmics cover, download it now)
10:58 pm - Sukie I've decided to add an 'e' to the end of her name. She is no longer hiding in my roommate's bathroom. Now, she's hiding under my bed. I've moved her litter box into the third room with Cecil's, so if she wants to go potty, she's gonna have to explore.
09:14 pm - New cat I've brought home a new cat. Her name is Suki. I'd post a picture, but I can't get a good one since she really only wants to hide behind the toilet right now.
